Find One Place of Peace

How much time do we spend in less-than-relaxing places?  The office, the car, lines at the grocery store…

For many, bed is the only safe haven, and focusing on more than sleep in bed can wreak havoc there, too.

Your home and office may be immaculately decorated, but good taste isn’t the same as a relaxing place.  Make an effort to create a “safe space” for your mind to wander to only good places — a pair of photographs in your office, a lush plant in your living room.

No stress here.

Your space need not remind you of specific memories — anything that brings you serenity will do, including favorite colors, old heroes, or soft textures.

Use your place of peace to recharge quickly — 5 minutes should do — when even your favorite places are brimming with stress and chaos.
